Privacy Policy

1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Epicnesia ("Epicnesia", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with epicnesia.id (the "Website") and related communications, such as emails sent to or received from us.
Epicnesia is currently operated as an independent software product brand. The Website presents and sells Epicnesia software products. This Policy describes our current, practical data practices and will be updated as our products and services evolve.
2. Information We Collect
As of the effective date of this Policy:
- We do not currently require user accounts on the Website.
- Epicnesia Inventory Kit is available for commercial purchase. Before checkout, we collect your purchase acceptance and the information needed to identify the Licensee, such as a name (and, for an organization purchase, the organization and authorized representative) and an email address. We keep records needed to correlate your acceptance with your order and license, deliver the source-code release, provide support, and maintain operational and audit records.
- We use Google Analytics on epicnesia.id to understand Website usage, traffic sources and campaign attribution, and interactions with the Website. We do not currently use advertising services on the Website.
- Payment is completed on the checkout of our payment provider, not on epicnesia.id. Epicnesia does not collect or store your full payment card details in our systems. Payment information is submitted directly to Polar, our Merchant of Record.
If you contact us by email, we may receive information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, message content, and any other information you voluntarily provide.
Separately, ordinary infrastructure and security logs (for example, logs generated by hosting, DNS, security, or network service providers) may be processed automatically in order to operate, secure, and protect the Website. We do not currently use this information for analytics or profiling purposes.
3. How We Use Information
Where we do process information, we use it only for practical purposes, such as to:
- respond to inquiries;
- process and fulfill purchases, including Licensee identification, order and license correlation, source-code delivery, and support;
- provide requested product information;
- understand Website usage and traffic sources;
- operate, secure, and maintain the Website;
- prevent abuse; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Service Providers
Epicnesia may rely on third-party infrastructure or service providers to operate the Website, including for domain and DNS management, hosting, content delivery and security, and email.
Epicnesia uses Google Analytics, provided by Google, to measure Website usage, traffic sources, and interactions. Google processes that data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Checkout and payment for Epicnesia Inventory Kit are processed by Polar, which acts as the Merchant of Record for the transaction. Polar handles payment methods, transaction processing, applicable taxes, fraud and payment checks, and receipts or invoices under its own terms and privacy policy, which apply to that processing. Polar is a payment provider; it is not the licensor of Epicnesia Inventory Kit.
6. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was provided, to meet operational or legal needs, or to address disputes or security requirements. We do not currently apply a fixed retention period across all information, as this depends on the nature of the information and the context in which it was received.
7. International Processing
Epicnesia targets a global audience. As a result, information may be processed by service providers in countries outside your country of residence. Any such processing is subject to those providers' own safeguards and applicable law.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may contact us to ask about information you have provided to us directly, or to request correction or deletion of that information where applicable and legally permitted. We will respond to reasonable requests to the extent required by applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
Epicnesia's products and Website are intended for developers, businesses, and other professional users. They are not directed to children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as Epicnesia's products, Website, and services evolve. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
